Tokyo Dome

Final park of the day was Tokyo Dome.
Now I don't know what happened here but I appear to have lost some of my photos. Here's the few I could salvage.

Our stop here was going to be another brief one. We had been here before on the last trip so the plan was to ride Linear Gale, Thunder Dolphin and visit a couple of new rides that had opened up since the last visit.

Despite the photo Linear Gale was awful. For some reason the park was running this on half power which meant it never got as fast or as high as when we rode it a few back. It was quickly retitled by our little group as "Liner Snail", "Linear Fail" etc.

Thunder Dolphin on the other hand was just as smooth and enjoyable as last time, and it still arguably one of the best rides in Japan, despite the thorough ride-ops that don't want anything to fall on the people below.

A rather different take on rollercoaster design. Photoshop?

This attraction was themed around some Japanese detective who looks like Inspector Gadget. You are given a console that you take around a maze trying to find 3 artefacts that you're shown at the start. There is a time limit and it was quite a difficult game. I just managed to finish within the time but hadn't identified the artefacts properly.

The cat woman ride was a cheap take on the Spider man attractions. It used a very similar ride system and offered a similar ride but just lacked the quality of its Universal counterpart. Was still an enjoyable ride though, and one that a lot of the group overlooked.

After the visit we said goodbye to the coach instead choosing to venture to a local restaurant where I overdosed on meat.

Tokyo Dome is worth doing for the Thunder Dolphin ride alone, and because it's located in the centre of the city you'll have no problem getting to it.
